Senior Scrum Master/Project Manager
Seattle, WA

Our project methodology is based upon Agile Scrum. The Project Manager will provide hands-on work as the Scrum Master for
3 to 4 project teams. He/She will also work with development managers to manage workload and availability of resources and will
lead the team from concept through delivery and support.
The Senior Scrum Master/Project Manager will be involved in the strategic management of all projects and will guide
and mentor one or more direct reports, coupled with hands on management of projects.
Requirements:
- Familiarity and experience with all phases of the software design life cycle
- Experience with iterative and agile software development methodologies (e.g. Scrum, Lean)
- Plays the role of the overall scrum master, promoting the methodology to all developers, product owners and QA
- 6 + years of project management experience including team management, and 1 + years of Scrum Master experience on an agile team (Certified Scrum Master a plus)
- Prior experience in systems integration consulting or software/ hardware vendor services
- Capable of scheduling and tracking project work items, milestones and resource allocation
- Must possess strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task; and thrive in a busy environment
- Strong interpersonal communication skills with technical and non-technical audiences
- Experience with cost estimating scheduling and time impact evaluations
- Proven customer interface and presentation skills
- Experience in project management principles, practices, methods, and applications, including strategic planning, department management, and group motivation
- Responsible for the overall direction and management of projects through designated project managers, ensuring consistency of process across projects, and customer satisfaction with the products
- Responsible for a group; providing prioritizing, resource management, support and internal consulting to ensure that projects are carried out consistently and successfully
- Excellent English writing ability
- Must have the ability to work in a team environment with a positive disposition
- Must be a high-energy, self- and performance-driven individual
Key Position Accountabilities:
- Responsible for all aspects of project management from inception to conclusion including: project resource allocation, task assignment risk mitigation and project communication
- Lead the team through the product lifecycle from requirements gathering through estimating and scheduling, development, testing, deployment, maintenance and training - all within schedule and budget parameters
- Working with the business analyst, dev manager, QA manager and other project managers to plan and allocate individuals to teams for upcoming projects
- Build and manage a high performing team
- Establish project management policies, guidelines, metrics and templates
- Prioritize projects and/or ensure consistency with company vision
- Provide guidance, mentoring, training and support to direct reports
- Establish a repository of lessons learned and best practices
- Identify areas of operational inefficiencies and execute improvement plans
- Determine project budget and allocate it across the groups (Dev, QA, Configuration) holding each group accountable for their allocation with weekly updates to the team and client manager
- Track tasks based on an estimate, actual time spent, and time remaining to complete the task; holding team members accountable to tasks and dependencies
- Be able to produce daily metrics on the budget of the project, amount expended, and amount remaining
- Report project status to the project team and clients on a weekly basis, including status of project, milestones/timeline, percent completed, roadblocks, and budget expended
- Create release plans for each project – work with software engineers, QA, build engineer, etc
- Determine if project documentation is needed and take responsibility for getting it completed
- Develop department work plans, assign tasks and duties, monitor performance, and conduct performance reviews with staff
